Welcome to the official site of the The Droma Gypsy Festival 2008.





This year's festival is our biggest yet with 16 bands, including 7 international bands, and 4 DJs who will be presenting the colorful Gypsy spirit over 9 days (Sept 24 - Oct 3). In its 4th year running, the festival will once again bring the breadth of contemporary Gypsy music from all over the world with a line-up that includes bands which preserve the original musical forms as well as others that mix it up with electronica, jazz, dub and European-style cabaret.

Tickets are now on sale. We also put together a Media Player where you can listen to songs from each band performing. Whether it is Turkish band Baba Zula's unique psychedelic belly-dancing Oriental dub music; Dotschy Reinhardt's Gypsy Swing, Jazz, Bossa Nova, and Latin mix; or French nomads Watch Clan, who speed forward through frenetic rhythms rendering homage to their roots in French, Arabic, Hebrew and English, we have a little for everyone in this year's bag of tricks.
